Somerville, September 15. Cherished son of Charles and Tracy (Parker) Peters of Malden formerly of Somerville. Adored grandson of Robert and Maura Guinto of Somerville and John and Karen Drauchen of NH. Uncle of Jaelyn Rosa. Beloved brother of Shanna and Brittany Peters of Malden. Nicky is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Longtime companion of Erica Fodera of Stoneham.Nicky was a standout hockey player for Somerville High School and served his country proudly in Iraq as a member of the US Army

for those who did not know nicholas:

My brother was an amazing person. Growing up he loved playing sports hockey being his favorite. He attended somerville high school and graduated in 2004. He wanted to better his life so from there joined the u.s army. Served 1 tour over in iraq. He was stationed at fort hood texas. After going out having a good time with his buddys nick was tragicly taken from us leaving a bar. Nick was the type of person that could make anybody smile. His presence would brighten up anyones day. He was funny, smart, handsome, he had alot going for him.  My brother was one of a kind. My heart breaks knowing that he can never do the things he planed to when he got out of the army. He is missed so very much and i can garentee not a secound goes by that he is not thought about by someone. My brother was a true hero, a great son, a great brother, boyrfriend,uncle,grandson,nephew cousin, friend, he ment something to everyone. He will truly be missed. He is gone but his memoires will live on forever. We love nicholas not minute goes by that we dont think of you.

Heey Nick.  So Mike [ Moreno ] is here visting and we were talking about you, like always.  One of the times we were talking bout was when you guys were gettin ready to head to Iraq and you said you didnt wanna talk to me any more and I ended up talkin to Moreno for like the whole. And how Keene and his wife got on the phone and they just kept tellin me how much you loved me and how you would also talk bout me!  Im smilin as I write this cause you made me smile babe.  Even though I didnt talk to you that much that night it still was one of those times with you I wont forget. Just like the time at lunch when you went to get chips and Mike O'Reagan tried to hit on me and I begged Roger not to say anything when you got back cause i didnt want you gettin all worked up.  What did he do as soon as he got back - told ya! Ha and I was all like "Nick, its ok, I dont care bout him, its not a big deal."  You started like yelling across the lunch room "YOU TRYIN TO HIT ON MY GIRL!?" ha oooh babe, you were crazy. [ Me & Crystal were talkin bout that tonight ] Thank you for always protectin and takin care of me.  You were an amazin boyfriend and an even more amazin best friend.  Thank you for lovin me and teaching me so very much.  I love you Nicholas always and forever...thats a promise!
